ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has expressed grief over the death of United States Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, founder and co-chairperson of the Pakistan Congress Committee. He expressed his sincere condolences to the family members and friends of the late congresswoman.
The President said Congresswoman Sheila Jackson was a remarkable leader who always championed human rights with a special focus on women and children. He emphasized that her contribution to strengthening Pakistan-US relations will always be remembered.
The President said her efforts during the devastating 2020 floods in Pakistan will never be forgotten.
