KHYBER: A protest rally against sabotaging peace was held at Charwazai square of Landi Kotal district Khyber on Wednesday.
It is to be stated here that last night unknown armed persons blew up the main gate of a private school in Khuga Khel village of Landi Kotal.
Under the auspices of All Private Schools Association, Landi Kotal, a large number of students, teachers and people from different walks of life while holding black flags and placards inscribed with slogans in their favor, gathered at Charzai square.
They marchers chanted slogans against the miscreants’ event and asked the concerned authorities to provide security to the private educational institutions.
Addressing on the occasion head of the Association Haji Iqbal Afridi, Abdurraziq Shinwari and others categorically condemned the bomb blast incident at main entrance of a private school, created chaos among the tribesmen and said such kind of happen could not discourage them to impart knowledge to the tribal youth.
Installing explosive devices to the main gates of the school and residency of the owner of the institution in a short period put a question mark on the efficiency of security agencies, they remarked.
Private schools play a key role in spreading education in the locality; they added and said they will foil miscreant activities by standing stern with the security agencies to wipe out militancy.
Peace is the guarantee of every positive development therefore the government should ensure it for smooth flow of education in private schools.
They demanded the authorities concerned to probe into the matter and punish those who were found guilty in the bomb blasts.
