PARIS: Goncalo Ramos converted a last-minute penalty to earn Ligue 1 leaders Paris-Saint Germain a 1-1 home draw against a bogey in Rennes on Sunday.
Brest is second, 11 points back, after beating Strasbourg 3-0 on Saturday.
Monaco jumped to third place, two points further back, on Sunday when Japan forward Takumi Minamino scored in the second minute of added time to secure a last-gasp 3-2 win at Lens.
Nice drew 0-0 at home to bottom club Clermont and are in fourth place by a point. Lille lost 3-1 at Toulouse and are fifth.
Rennes, who beat AC Milan in the Europa League on Thursday, rested Benjamin Bourigeaud, who scored a hat-trick against the Italians, and Martin Terrier.
Even so, they took the lead when Amine Gouiri fired a shot into the top corner in the 39th minute.
PSG offloaded star striker Kylian Mbappe after an hour, who plans to leave at the end of the season.
“We have to get used to playing without Kylian Mbappe,” said coach Luis Enrique, who also brought out Ousmane Dembele and Bradley Barcola.

The home side, who lost at Freiburg in the Europa League on Thursday, faded in the final 10 minutes.
Balogun missed a penalty in the 83rd minute but Minamino drilled home in stoppage time.
“What a match!” Monaco coach Adi Hutter said. “The great battle that Lens fought.
“I hope this game will give us a lot of confidence for our next game against Paris Saint-Germain,” said Hutter.
In Nice, home goalkeeper Marcin Bulka dived to his left late in the first half to save a penalty from Shamar Nicholson. It was Bulk’s fourth save of the six penalties he has faced in all competitions this season.
Nice have won one of their last six games.
“The performance wasn’t great,” said Nice coach Francesco Farioli, but “it’s not a tragedy.”
Lille’s poor away form continued as they threw away a half-time lead to lose to Toulouse, who ended their own winless home run.
Lille took the lead in extra time with a Hakon Haraldsson goal.
Toulouse, whose only home win since Oct. 1 was over Liverpool in the Europa League, hit three goals in a 17-minute stretch.
Christian Mawissa equalized after a corner in the 49th minute.
Substitute Yann Gboho won a penalty eight minutes later which was converted by another half-time substitute, Vincent Sierro.
Gboho then put Thijs Dalling in the third in the 66th minute.
Lille have not won away from home in Ligue 1 since November 26.
