KARACHI: Islamabad United head coach Mike Hesson said batsman Azam Khan is a special talent. The former New Zealand coach praised Azam but wants him to bring more consistency to his game.
“Azam can attack both spinners and pacers. He has an ability that few have,” he said.
“There is still more work to be done on Azam as he is still not a finished product. If he brings more consistency, every team in the world will pick him,” added Hesson.
Meanwhile, Hesson also shed light on his experience in the PSL, which he is thoroughly enjoying.
“I am very impressed with the cricketing talent in Pakistan. The spin bowling talent in the PSL is quite impressive. Pakistan need to work a little harder on the power bowlers.
On the other hand, Hesson spoke about Islamabad United and the methods of getting the best out of their players.
“The secret to Islamabad’s success is maximizing talent.

“Along with the young cricketers, there are senior players who want to improve. We have many players in our squad who meet the requirements of T20 cricket,” he added.
“The most important thing for us is to find out which player can help and what role he can play,” he claimed.
Don’t forget that PSL 9 playoff schedule has also been confirmed. Sultans will face Peshawar Zalmi in Qualifier 1 on March 14, while Gladiators will face Islamabad United in Eliminator on March 15.
Sultans and Zalmi have two chances to qualify for the PSL 9 Finals after finishing in the top two spots in the points table as the loser of Qualifier 1 will face the winner of the Eliminator on March 16.
