RAWALPINDI: Peshawar Zalmi all-rounder Saim Ayub made Pakistan Super League (PSL) history after he bowled Islamabad United’s Alex Hales on the first ball of Match 20 of Season 9.
The 22-year-old opened the bowling for Zalmi and rattled the Englishman’s stumps with a peach of a delivery.
Ayub is the first player in the history of the tournament to be dismissed on the first ball and also take a wicket on the first ball of the match.

Notably, United are batting first after being asked to do so by Zalmi captain Babar Azam.
At the moment, United are 105/3 in 12 overs with captain Shadab Khan at the crease.
