PSL Commissioner Naila Bhatti steps down

Karachi: Pakistan Super League (PSL) Commissioner Naila Bhatti has resigned, according to sources.
Naila’s resignation has been accepted by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
Sources said Naila, who was part of former PCB chairman Najam Sethi’s team, resigned due to disagreements with board officials.
Yesterday, the director of medical and sports science, Dr Sohail Saleem, also tendered his resignation, which was accepted by the PCB.
Saleem’s resignation came after PCB’s medical committee found negligence in the treatment of pacer Ihsanullah.
According to sources, it has been reported that the PSL may clash with the Indian Premier League (IPL) next year.
The PCB has envisioned three windows to hold the PSL 2025, but the most ideal is a clash with the IPL in April and May.
Sources said the PCB is considering the pros and cons of holding the league along with the IPL.
The second window is three weeks in February as it cannot be held in March due to the ICC Champions Trophy in Pakistan.
This will be at the next board meeting in the PSL window next year.
