PTCL Group, Pakistan’s largest telecoms and integrated ICT services provider, is preparing to unveil in Pakistan a cutting-edge Shoq TV preparing-top Box powered by Android TV, transforming its customers’ TV viewing experiences. Hatem Bamatraf, President and Group CEO of PTCL & Ufone 4G, and Karen Teo, VP Android Partnerships APAC, Google, made the announcement at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024 in Barcelona, Spain. The Android TV Set-top Box will have several Google apps, including the Play Store, as well as a slick User Interface (UI) and appealing graphics to create a transforming user experience.
The new Android TV Set-top Box is designed for maximum ease and smooth control, providing the best entertainment experience possible. Users will be able to enjoy their favorite entertainment content on an immersive big-screen experience thanks to pre-installed apps such as YouTube and Netflix. Users will be able to seamlessly switch between TV and other suitable Android apps to make the most of their free time.

The new Shoq TV set-top box powered by Android TV will continue to provide over 200 television channels, including a varied choice of Full HD channels. The new set-top box reinforces PTCL Group’s ongoing commitment to offering high-quality news and entertainment content in Pakistan.
