Quetta: In response to the devastating floods that swept through Gwadar, Pakistan’s largest telecommunications and integrated ICT service provider, PTCL Group has joined forces with the Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRC) to provide essential relief and supply up to 30,000 liters of clean drinking water every day—months to affected municipalities.
PTCL Group and PRCS recognized the urgency of the situation to ensure a constant supply of clean drinking water directly to those reeling under the disaster.
Syed Atif Raza, Chief Marketing Officer, PTCL & Ufone 4G, commented on this effort saying, “Access to clean water is indeed a basic human right, essential for survival. PTCL Group in association with Pakistan Red Crescent recognizes this urgent need.
We recognize the indispensable role that water plays in sustaining life and work tirelessly to ensure that affected communities have unrestricted access to this vital resource. Together, we are committed to making a positive impact on the lives of those in need.” At the forefront of disaster response efforts, PTCL Group exemplifies the commitment to help the affected community in Gwadar.
Apart from providing clean drinking water, the earlier Ufone 4G offered a helping hand by offering 70 free minutes for calls for 7 days so that the affected communities could stay connected and reach out to humanitarian organizations. By enabling individuals to stay connected to their loved ones in times of need, the Group is a beacon of support and resilience in the face of adversity.
