ISLAMABAD: Internet services of Pakistan Telecommunication Company Ltd (PTCL) faced outages in various cities of the country, the telecommunication company said in a statement.
“Currently PTCL network is facing data outage in various cities due to which connectivity has been affected,” a PTCL spokesperson said in a statement.
“Our teams are actively working to resolve and fix the issue as soon as possible,” the spokeswoman added.
In a statement on X, Netblocks, which monitors internet outages, digital governance and connectivity, confirmed widespread internet disruption in Pakistan.
“Live network data shows nationwide disruption of internet connectivity in Pakistan,” Netblocks said.
He said metrics show national connectivity at 24% of normal levels, confirming user reports of “widespread outage”.
