Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has admitted to factionalism in the party and will meet the two factions tomorrow, a news agency reported on Wednesday.
Rejecting the factional message put forward by the PTI, Khan told reporters in the courtroom at the Adiala complex that there was no fundamental difference between the parties.
The PTI founder denied that there was any division earlier this week as the former ruling party suffered internal strife, with the core committee and PTI leaders clashing.
Last month, Omar Ayub, the party’s secretary general, resigned as the party’s secretary general to focus on the role of opposition leader in the National Assembly.
Ayub’s resignation comes amid reports of discord in PTI, sources told Geo News that 27 members of the PTI-backed Sunni Union Council (SIK) are reportedly discussing resigning from the National Assembly in protest against the party’s top leadership.
According to sources, 21 of the 27 members of Parliament said they wanted to create a blog saying the top leader would not be able to secure the release of the party’s founder from prison.
However, Ayub’s resignation was rejected by the PTI parliament, which asked the party’s central committee to withdraw their decision to resign from the party’s coveted post.
It may be noted that the show cause notice was issued after prominent PTI leader Sher Afzal Marwatin Mai refused to work with Ayub and others.
The PTI report also blamed opposition leaders for the altercation outside the court complex in Islamabad. cash register.
Last week, Marwat demanded the resignation of Shibli Faraz, saying the party was only freed from the “Kabza mafia”.
