Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar said on Tuesday that the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) should be held accountable on May 9.
Addressing a press conference with Amir Muqam in Islamabad, Tarar said, “Every day someone in jail comes with a new story. Sometimes a letter should be written to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) or other times to the Chief of Army Staff. (COAS) .”
Tarar continued, “There is no value in the letter of a person who has a contradiction in the words of the founder of PTI. Aleema Khan, Uzma Khan and Noreen Khan were present at the Command House Corps. Why is a First Information Report (FIR) not registered against the sister of the founder of PTI? ” ?
Commenting on the AJK issue, Tarar said, “The Prime Minister solved the problem by inviting all the stakeholders of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK). The Prime Minister saved the country from any untoward incident by giving timely warning.”

A few days later, Tarar attacked PTI in the May 9 incident.
Expressing his views, Tarar said, “PTI leaders and extremists are posting videos on social media. You [PTI] cannot change the truth by changing sentences from time to time.”
“Everything was caught on camera on May 9. On May 9, the old habits of the rebels continued to lie,” said Tarar.
“Groups involved in attacks against the state cannot be considered political parties,” he said.
