SWAT: PTI held a peace march here on Wednesday in Swat district ,against the military operation and has given a blunt message that the provincial government will not allow another operation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwaunder any circumstances.
Waving white peace flags, the workers chanted “We want peace” and “Operation rejected”.
Addressing the peace march in Nishat Chowk, Mingora, Provincial Minister of Forests and Environment Fazal Hakeem Yousafzai and City Mayor Swat Shahid Ali bluntly announced that we will not allow the operation again by disturbing the peace of Swat under any circumstances.
They said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and the provincial cabinet have decided that we want peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and we will not allow the operation under any circumstances.
“The provincial minister said that we have been cheated in the name of peace in the past and today we want to account for our 70 thousand martyrs, added that at present there is ideal peace in Swat and we cannot allow anyone to disturb this atmosphere of peace,” Fazal Hakeem said.
He said that no one is above the law and those who break the law and disturb the peace will be spoken to in their language.
He further said that we are not against any institution. This country is ours and these institutions are also ours, but no one will be allowed to take the law into their hands.
Fazal Hakeem said that attention will be given to the solution of public problems in the province and no one will be allowed to do economic harm.
City Mayor Sahihd Ali said that Swat is a tourist area and we welcome people from all over the country here but if anyone tries to disturb the peace of Swat, then we will strongly resist.
Later, a peace march was held in Mingora city under the leadership of Provincial Minister Fazal Hakeem, Mayor Shahid Ali and MPA Ali Shah Advocate.
