LAHORE – Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari has said that Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz is on the nerves of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI), citing the failure of rival political parties to defeat Maryam Nawaz in the government.
He was responding to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Counselor Barrister Saif’s statement that Maryam Nawaz was using the police to take political revenge and violate human rights for her own satisfaction.
Azma Buhari said PTI wants to compete with Maryam Nawaz not in debate but in government. The Minister also warned that the perpetrators will not be able to escape from action on May 9.
He alleged that PTI was planning another incident on May 9 and said that they did not accept their mistake.
The minister also said that Maryam Nawaz should not be blamed for PTI’s non-political act on May 9.
Azma protested against the installation of armed forces and commemoration of martyrs by PTI.
He said that PTI should not cover up crimes under the pretext of human rights and the constitution.
