Islamabad: Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif on Tuesday said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is following the path of chaos and destruction by promoting politics of denial, violence and hatred.
Addressing the media outside the Majlis House, the Defense Minister said the position of the opposition Sunni Tehreek-PTI in the Senate led to a boycott of the Senate Speaker and Deputy Speaker elections.
Khawaja Asif said that for the continuation of the democratic system, the decision of the majority cannot be rejected and no decision can be imposed on others.
He said there should be dialogue and harmony between political parties and opponents to resolve issues instead of competition.
If the opposition wants to make a decision, do it in the interest of democracy, the country and the common people,” said the minister.
