Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi said on Tuesday that he will perform his duties according to the law and constitution and said, “One thing is very clear. There will be no NRO for PTI,” he said.
The statement about the NRO is related to the imprisonment of PTI founder Imran Khan after several court sentences and numerous trials, as well as his party’s involvement in the May 9 event.
On Monday morning, it was reported that Imran, whose aggressive approach was reflected in the violence of May 9 and subsequent behavior, could write a letter to the Supreme Court, according to which he should express his desire to talk. to each other.
But Kundi told reporters on Tuesday that PTI was not a political party and holding talks with the group would be a waste of time.
Blasting the provincial administration for rising terrorism and poor performance, Chief Minister Ali Amin warned that Gandapur lost control of the province and said that so far not a single meeting of the Apex Committee [Provincial] has been convened.
Gandapur’s statement could only be laughed at, the governor said, adding that he did not think Gandapur could attack Islamabad.
Responding to various questions, he commented on the continuous threat to march towards the federal capital if Gandapur’s demands are not met.
According to Kundi, the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa sent such comments only to protect his “job” and Kundi will be disappointed if he loses his job.
“I know how to protect the Governor’s House [Peshawar],” the governor said, adding that he was fully aware of his constitutional powers.
He said Gandapur could have gone anywhere in Pakistan, but the law and order situation in the province was deteriorating day by day, with people disappearing and moving in caravans from his hometown of Dera Ismail Khan.
“At least address the situation in your district,” said Kundi from Dera Ismail Khan.
It should be noted that the southern districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were badly affected after the then Imran-led PTI government decided to allow TTP members to move, thus bringing back terrorism.
