GUJRANWALA: Police on Thursday re-arrested Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) activist Aliya Hamza in another case related to the May 9 violence.
According to details, police officials said that the PTI activists were arrested from outside the Sargodha jail.
A police official told the Gujranwala police that Alia Hamza was wanted in connection with the May 9 violence.
The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) yesterday granted bail to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) activists Sanam Javed and Alia Hamza in the May 9 vandalism case.
According to details, the anti-terrorism court approved the bail appeal of Sanam Javed and Alia Hamza in three cases of violence on May 9, while Musa Khel was granted interim bail in the fourth court registered at Sargodha police station.
On April 17, the same court sent PTI activists Sanam Javed and Alia Hamza to seven days of physical custody in a vandalism case.
It may be noted that the police had sought a 30-day remand for Sanam Javed and Alia Hamza from the Anti-Terrorism Court, but the court ordered both the PTI activists to a seven-day remand.
It is worth mentioning here that Alia Hamza faced several acts of vandalism at the Islamabad High Court building on May 9 following the riots that broke out in Pakistan following the arrest of the former prime minister and PTI founder.
