LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan held a meeting at Jati Umra in Lahore on Thursday.
The Punjab CM congratulated the newly elected Governor of Punjab on his inauguration. They discussed issues related to the development of the province.
Both the CM and the governor promised to work together for sustainable development, development of the province and improving the standard of living of the people.
Both parties held discussions on economic development, governance, education, health, law and order, climate change and other issues. They promised to work together for the welfare of the people throughout the province.
CM Maryam Nawaz said that all constitutional institutions will be respected as the governor acts as a bridge between the provinces and the centre.
Benazir revealed that the Income Support Program (BISP) is being improved and improved in the province. He announced the launch of various projects related to education, health, road infrastructure and IT.
He said that a special social protection program has been launched to ease the lives of the poor.
The Punjab governor said that all efforts will be made to provide relief to the people.
He provides full cooperation for the promotion of provincial administration, constitution and law in the province.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on Thursday said that solving people’s problems is the priority of her government and necessary funds will be allocated for it.
The Prime Minister expressed this view in a meeting with MPAs from various cities in Punjab.
In the meeting, Maryam was explained by KKP about the common problems and needs in their respective constituencies.
Maryam said that they are creating a sustainable system for sanitation and hygiene in the streets, cities and villages.
He said, the solid waste management system is being implemented in regional centers and big cities through public-private cooperation.
He said that he wants every road and area to be clean and said that this work will start soon.
CM Maryam reiterated that solving people’s problems remains a priority and necessary resources will be provided for this.
Maryam said the provision and improvement of water supply is an accelerated priority project in Sahiwal.
He said that the construction of Multan-Wehari Highway for Multan, Jahanian, Wehari and other cities will start.
He also said that facilities for floor laboratory and cardiology would be provided in the hospital in Sialkot.
Among those who met the Prime Minister were MNA Chaudhry Afzal Nazir from Jahanian, MPA Kasim Nadeem from Sahiwal, MPA Muhammad Shoib Siddiqui from Lahore and MPA Khurram Khan Virk from Sialkot.
Provincial Chief Minister Maryam Aurangzeb and Senator Pervaiz Rashid also attended the event.
