The Punjab government on Monday lifted restrictions on the posting and transfer of officials in various departments including the police.
The government also announced the lifting of restrictions on transfers. A copy of the notification has been sent to all concerned departments.
The notification said that senior officers have the right to transfer money as they wish.
It may be noted that after the dissolution of the National Assembly (NA) and the federal cabinet, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) banned transfers and referrals. The ECP continued the ban during the mentoring process.
