LAHORE:- A meeting chaired by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has decided to enact a law to establish a real estate investment trust in Punjab.
In a meeting held on Tuesday, details were given about the Punjab Business Center District Administration project.
Punjab CBDA CEO Imran Amin informed the meeting about the assessment of Qaid district, Bab district and Pindi district.
The CM was informed about the establishment of Grand Civic Center in Lahore on Ferozepur Road where 600 shops and restaurants will be installed.
It has been clarified that CBD Grand Central Station will be established at Kalma Chowk, Lahore. The CBD will also develop environmentally friendly greenways along Gulberg’s main boulevard.
The meeting decided to pass a law to establish a Real Estate Investment Trust in Punjab, while the progress in the Silicon cluster in the IT city was also reviewed.
CM Maryam has directed IT City to sign contracts with Chinese, South Korean and Arab companies and provide progress reports to meet annual targets for the CBD project.
During the meeting, an agreement was reached to establish CBD business centers in eight cities of Punjab, and a proposal to establish a Sports City in Sialkot was also presented.
