LAHORE: Rain in Lahore and other parts of Punjab saved people from wet weather on Thursday.
On Wednesday night (the third day of Eid al-Adha), a light dust storm and rain changed the weather a bit, but people continued to pray for rain in the very hot and humid weather.
A few days ago, the forecast said it would rain on Thursday, making the weather pleasant. Lahore mall, prison road, Shadman and nearby areas received rain in a short span of time.
Deputy Commissioner Rafia Haidar and the Wasa authorities have instructed the officials to stay on their toes and clear the rainwater on the roads.
Residents of Hafizabad were relieved after heavy rains brought temporary relief from the hot weather.
According to PMD, continental weather prevailed over many parts of Pakistan today and western waves are expected to enter the northern region.
Rain, wind and thunder are expected in Rawalpindi, Murree, Galyat, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Kasur, Okara. Sheikhupura, Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Jhang, Khushab, Sargodha, Bhakkar and Mianwali from June 18 to June 22 and evening slots.
Additionally, rain and thundershowers are expected in Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Dera Ghazi Khan, Sahiwal, Multan, Khanewal, Lodhran, Muzaffargarh, Rajanpur, Rahim Khanar Khan and Laiya from June 20 to 22.
