RAWALPINDI: The Pakistan Super League (PSL) double-header in Rawalpindi tomorrow may be impacted by rain.
On March 2, Peshawar Zalmi will face Lahore Qalandars, and Islamabad United will play Quetta Gladiators at Pindi Cricket Stadium.
However, The Weather Channel predicts 100% rain during the day and 70% rain at night in Rawalpindi tomorrow, with heavy downpours probable.
Meanwhile, when asked, a Met Office spokesperson stated: “There is a chance of rain and thunderstorms on Saturday. Rain is forecast to begin on Friday evening, with Saturday being the most affected day of the approaching rainy spell.
“Rain could fall at any point throughout the next two days. “Saturday could be the worst hit day,” the official said.
When foreign matches or PSL engagements are held at Pindi Stadium, it is always filled. The presence of a large crowd always adds to the celebratory atmosphere and makes the event memorable. Approximately ten thousand temporary chairs have been placed at the Stadium for the nine matches scheduled to take place over the following ten days.
At Pindi, the Multan Sultans scored 262 against the Quetta Gladiators, while Quetta scored 253 against Multan in the same match.
However, the PCB has chosen to eliminate the stadium’s “flat pitches” designation this year after instructing the curators to create pitches that would benefit both bowlers and batsmen.
