Muzaffarabad: The refugees of Jammu and Kashmir held a rally to appeal to the United Nations for the implementation of their decision of self-determination in 1989.
According to the details, the participants include many children, old people and youth from Burhan Wani Chowk to UNO.
Rally participants raised slogans against the illegal Indian military occupation. The Kashmiri protestors brought placards and placards appealing to the United Nations for an exclusive resolution on the Kashmir issue.
The participants said that the refugees from Jammu and Kashmir, which was occupied in 1989, and the residents of Muzaffarabad rejected the Indian military occupation of the occupied country.
The speaker asked the United Nations to take steps to resolve the Kashmir issue in accordance with the resolutions adopted by the Security Council.
The speakers declared India’s military occupation on October 27, 1947 as aggression, the action of the Indian People’s Assembly on August 5, 2019 and the biased and cruel judgment of the Supreme Court of India on December 11, 2023 as illegal.
The speaker said that human rights organizations should play their role to repeal the worst black laws of AFSPA, POTA, TADA, UAPA and PSA in occupied Kashmir.
He further said that people of Kashmir rejected all tactics and conspiracies of Bharatiya Janata Party against Muslim identity.
Confiscation of state and civilian lands and destruction of civilian property in occupied Kashmir is an Indian terrorist conspiracy.
The speaker said that providing government housing, providing jobs and holding high positions to Indian citizens was a colonialist strategy of the Indian government to change the demographics of the country.
They also said that they consider the ideological, intellectual and religious ties of the people of Kashmir with the Islamic Republic of Pakistan as a blessing from God.
The speakers thanked the people of Pakistan, political and religious parties, government and armed forces of Pakistan for their continuous support to the people of Kashmir and said that no power in the world can despise the brotherhood between Pakistan and the people of Kashmir. .
The participants of the rally called on the government of Pakistan to come forward as a party to the Kashmir issue and work on the political and diplomatic front for the independence of the occupied country.
They also paid tribute to the martyrs of the Kashmiri freedom movement.
