ISLAMABAD: Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chaudhary Muhammad Ali Randhawa on Wednesday directed to complete the construction of the Blue Square parking lot in the first week of June at any cost.
He assured that there will be no more delay or extension in the completion date of the project while reviewing the Blue Square parking lot and other ongoing projects of the federal capital.
On that occasion, a CDA official briefed about the project and informed that the parking lot will consist of two basements, one floor, and five floors.
He said the first floor of the parking lot will include the construction of 18 stores, including restaurants and cafes in three stores.
The parking lot can accommodate up to 1,200 cars at a time, officials said.
Randhawa was directed to complete the construction of the shops on the ground floor in 20 days.
The chairman of CDA said that the allotment of ground floor shops opposite Jinnah Avenue should be done on a move/rent basis.
Randhawa also visited Jinnah Avenue, F-9 / G-9 widening project.
In the briefing, it was reported that the project involves adding two lanes with a length of 1.8 kilometers in both directions.
The expansion project reportedly cost about $480 million to complete.
During his visit to Islamabad Model Jail, Randhawa said that the construction of the jail should be completed in 100 days.
He oversaw the completion of the first phase of prison construction, including the boundary wall, barracks, administrative block and observation tower, on schedule.
