RAWALPINDI: RDA’s Directorate of Metropolitan Planning and Transport Engineering (MP&TE) demolished a gazebo, street lights, road divider and paved landscape while conducting a major operation against the illegal housing scheme of Green Hawks (Hartus Floare Farm), RDA spokesperson said.
He said DG RDA Kinza Murtaza is supervising operations against illegal constructions in approved/illegal housing societies. He said that grand operations against all illegal constructions will continue across the board to stop illegal housing scams and looting of citizens.
He said that complaints of illegal occupation by owners of illegal flats have been received from the general public. Strict action will be taken against those who seize land by force of arms.
He said the apartment building owners who completed the legal documents got possession of the plots. RDA issues press releases from time to time to inform the general public. Citizens should not invest in illegal housing schemes and requested to visit RDA website www.rda.gop.pk and advised to buy and sell only from approved housing schemes.
According to the authorities, notices were issued earlier to the owners and sponsors of the above housing stock to stop illegal advertisements, bookings and construction.
The owners of these properties ran illegal housing booking offices in violation of the rules.
Operation Team Incharge Enforcement Squad RDA / Assistant Director Building Control Muhammad Usman Bajwa, Deputy Director Planning Mehwish Naseem, Police Team from Chontra Police Station, RDA Scheme/Building Inspectors and other team members undertook the major operation.
