RAWALPINDI: On the direction of the Divisional Intelligence Committee, the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has launched an operation against illegal housing schemes.
According to the RDA spokesperson, the Task Force has accelerated its work against illegal housing schemes.
When the RDA enforcement team conducted an operation in Taxila, it took action against eight illegal housing schemes against Aroura Housing Scheme, Al-Khan Enclave, Land Department, Wah Residency, Pembina Fahad (Educational Campus / Wah Hills) illegal scheme office. Sub Division, Education City/Wah Hills/Kashmir City and Khawas City.
The scheme is located in Mouzas Lab Thatho, Niko, Bhoti Pind, Buddu, Gari Afghana and Bajar, Tehsil Taxila of Rawalpindi District.
According to the spokesperson, enforcement teams have closed and dismantled plots and plots of illegal housing schemes.
The operation was conducted on the orders of Rawalpindi Divisional Commissioner Muhammad Abdul Aamir Khatak, RDA Director General, RDA Additional Director General, Deputy Commissioner, Rawalpindi and Rawalpindi City Police Officer.
The spokesperson informed that despite warnings against illegal advertisements, plot reservations and stoppage of construction work, the owner of the housing scheme operates the reservation office in violation of the rules.
He said the crackdown on illegal housing societies under the commissioner’s order will continue to prevent fraud and protect residents from exploitation. The spokesperson said that RDA has advised citizens not to invest in illegal housing schemes and visit the RDA website www.rda.gop.pk to check the status of all legal and illegal housing communities.
