Citizens coming to get their passports are facing difficulties due to the rush at the regional passport office located in Hayatabad, the modern town of the provincial capital Peshawar.
It should be remembered that it has become impossible to provide passports to citizens going to perform Umrah in Ramadan, while passports have not been provided to Hajj pilgrims.
Obtaining has become the most difficult In Peshawar passport office, citizen’s line up after Fajr prayer. On Monday, the passport office turned into a battlefield due to the dispute over the issue of taking a photo outside the line in the passport office. The problems of the citizens are increasing and the incidents of misbehavior due to women are also continuously increasing.
While the government has decided to keep all offices and delivery counters across the country open on Saturdays and Sundays as well. The Home Department needs to take notice of this abuse of people so that passports can be issued on time.
On the other hand, most of the citizens who want to go for Umrah have difficulties in obtaining passports because they are not issued passports even after applying urgently. Therefore, it is necessary that the higher authorities of Peshawar office issue orders to issue urgent and normal passports on time so that passports can be issued to those who wish to perform Umrah before Ramadan.
There is a need to take measures to reduce the rush and increase the counter at the regional passport office. Where thousands of people are returning disappointed after standing in long queues every day. To deal with this situation, it is important that the current centers and members of the National Assembly elected from the province raise their voices in the Senate of Pakistan so that problem can be solved on a long-term basis.
Although their offices have been established in most of the districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa but why is the rush still going on in Peshawar? Along with this, the processing of passports of other cities in Peshawar should also be banned so that citizens of Peshawar district can get convenience. As long as the passports of recommended persons from other districts continue to be processed here, the rush will continue here.
Apart from that, due to the lack of discipline in the regional office of Peshawar, the women are also facing difficulties, especially the women are returning home with the desire of getting passport.
Therefore, there is a need to establish not only special counters for women in various ID card offices including the Mega Center of Peshawar, but also reserves at least two days a week for them so that they do not have to wait in long lines instead of bothering because to get an important national document like national passport can be provided by sitting in a respectful manner.
It is hoped that not only the senior officers of the Regional Passport Office Peshawar will eliminate the touts in the office but the officers of the central offices will also get notice of such elements who are robbing the people with both hands.
Apart from that, there is a need for stream media to increase positive reporting regarding regional passport offices in Peshawar and other districts so that public issues can be pin down to higher authorities.
Our elected leadership is also not responsible for this important problem. They also have the responsibility that after the completion of the national and provincial assemblies, they will raise a special voice in the Houses for the solution of this problem.
They have chosen to solve their basic problems. It is hoped that the elected representatives will not hurt the trust of the people and will save their problem with zeal.
