QUETTA: Reko Diq Mining Company (RDMC) is strengthening its portfolio of social development projects by setting up a Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant in Mashki Chah Village of Chagai District and ensuring that it plays a positive role in adding value to the lives of local people. citizens stakeholders.
This RO plant in the village of Mashki Chah will have a capacity of 5,000 gallons per day (gpd) and will be powered by renewable solar energy and provide hard drinking water to residents of Mashki Chah and elsewhere. The village currently uses approximately 1,500 gpd of water, so this increased capacity is intended to serve not only the village but the surrounding area as well.
The RDMC team has worked tirelessly to ensure that the system built by So Safe has state-of-the-art equipment designed to meet local needs and requirements for many years of trouble-free service. This RO plant is fully automatic and ensures no loss of water when the tank is full and provides safe and clean water that meets the specified standards. UV sterilization works by using low-pressure mercury vapor to generate the UV energy needed to destroy microorganisms in the water. It destroys viruses, bacteria, fungi, algae and protozoa by destroying their DNA structure, inhibiting reproduction and rendering them harmless.
For residents of Mashki Chah, this is not the first community development project by RDMC in their village. Mashki Chahda is one of the three primary schools established in Chagai district. RDMC strives to create sustainable social development projects that serve the local community. So far, it has built a strong network of projects in partnership with trust organizations such as Indus Hospital and Skill Foundation for medical facilities and vocational training centers for skill development and income generation among local youth. This effort shows that the new Reco Diq agreement ensures that the benefits of the project increase for the people of Chagai before commercial operations begin.
Ali Ehsan Rind, the country manager of the company, speaking at the opening ceremony of the Mashki Chahda RO plant, said, “We work to improve the lives of local communities close to our operations because we consider them the most important and our stakeholders. have been our priority.
