Riphah International University has taken another step to provide academic excellence and quality education across borders by establishing an important partnership with the Embassy of the State of Palestine and the Al-Khidmat Foundation to improve education and opportunities for Palestinian students. The MoU signing ceremony was held on 23 April 2024 at Riphah International University, Gulberg Greens Campus, Islamabad. H.E. Ambassador of the State of Palestine Mr. Ahmed Jawad A. A. Rabei, Vice President of Riphah International University, Professor Anis Ahmed, Dr. Hafeez ur Rehman President of Al-Khidmat Foundation signed the document representing all members of this Memorandum of Understanding. As part of this historic agreement, Riphah International University will extend its support by awarding 100 fully funded scholarships to Palestinian students so that they can receive a quality education and create a brighter future for themselves and their communities. Scholarships awarded by Riphah International University cover the academic costs associated with pursuing higher education at the university. In addition, the AlHidmat Foundation has agreed to cover the living and accommodation costs of Palestinian students during their studies in Pakistan and has provided 240 million rupees for this purpose. The signing ceremony was attended by H.E. dignitaries like the Ambassador of the State of Palestine Mr. Ahmed Jawad A. A. Rabei, Rector of Riphah International University Hasan Muhammad Khan, Dr. Hafeez ur Rehman, Al-Khidmat Foundation and member of the Board of Governors and Board of Trustees is a member of Riphah International University. Taking this opportunity, H.E. The Ambassador of the State of Palestine, Ahmad Jawad A. A. Rabei, thanked the Chancellor and Vice Chancellor RIPHAH for their support to the Palestinian people. His Highness said the event sends a message to the Palestinian people that they are not alone at this critical time. Representatives of the Embassy of the State of Palestine also participated in commemorating this important date in educational diplomacy. The partnership is a collective effort to improve access to education, intercultural understanding, and service to humanity on a global scale.
