WANA: A statement issued by the DC Office Wana said that the District Administration of South Waziristan Lower has been engaged with the protestors since November 17, 2023 for peaceful negotiations in Angoor Adda.
In this regard, many demands of the protesters have been fulfilled and however, the protestors are not ending their protest due to the illegal demand of (Pandokai) hand carry.
The statement said that in addition, Assistant Commissioner Wana Faisal Ismail also met the protestors in Angoor Adda, and held a Jirga with the tribal elders, that most of their demands have already been fulfilled.
This statement is issued for the information of the general public that the illegal demand of the protestors will not be met by handcarry ie (Pandokai) damaging the public exchequer, while this practice is not allowed on any international borders including Chaman border of (Balochistan).
The statement further states that Inspector General FC South KP repeatedly met tribal elders in Jirga and also personally, while the Deputy Commissioner/Assistant Commissioner also met.
But the negotiations could not be successful because the sit-in participants kept secret about smuggling.
Smuggling at the border is not allowed under any circumstances hand carry (Pandokai) is not allowed at any border, and hence it cannot be allowed here also.
The public is informed that the district administration officers as well as the field staff are also engaged in peaceful negotiations and the rumors and circulating news on social media are based on lies and there is no truth in this that the officers do not meet the protestors.
