LAHORE: Peshawar Zalmi’s opening pair of Saim Ayub and Babar Azam stroked a partnership of 136 for the first wicket in the ongoing 12th match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 9 against Lahore Qalandars. After being put into bat first by Lahore skipper Shaheen Afridi, the duo completely dominated.
After reaching another 100-run stand, Babar and Saim now have a four-century partnership in the PSL, the joint-highest in the history of the tournament. Babar and Saim have played 14 innings together, the least among other holders of this record. Second on the list are Mohammad Rizwan and Rilee Rossouw who managed it in 16 innings.
Meanwhile, Rizwan and Shan Masood have that many in 28 innings.
