On Thursday, PML-N Punjab President Rana Sanaullah attacked PTI’s controversial statement and said “sincerity” is needed for political dialogue.
Speaking on the Geo news program ‘Geo Pakistan’, Sanaullah, who was recently appointed political advisor to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, said that the solution to the current political and economic crises. The PML-N has plans to form a committee for discussions with other political parties, especially the PTI, to which Sanaullah replied, “Of course, we as a political party and [political] workers think that the current political solution to the situation. The country is facing ongoing negotiations”.
Recalling former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s October homecoming speech, he said the PML-N supremo had made a similar message at the time, saying that the solution to the political crisis.
The political adviser added that talks with Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman have been held and will continue in the future.
Regarding PTI’s readiness for talks, he said, “One day they make a statement on this issue (negotiations) and the next day other leaders say otherwise. If there is any seriousness from there, this dialogue should be between political parties.
Sanaullah called for talks in the Senate last week, and PPP Senators Sherry Rehman and PML-N’s Irfan Siddiqui struck a conciliatory tone with the opposition, calling PTI’s Ali Zafar a “political victim” of the party.
Earlier this week, PTI chief Barrister Gohar Ali Khan said his party was ready to hold talks with relevant tribes, saying talks should be held “with all”.
