ISLAMABAD : Jawad Sohrab Malik, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, officially opened the first Protectorate of Emigrants Office on this historic day, signifying Pakistan’s dedication to encouraging safe and lawful migration. This program not only demonstrates the government’s commitment to protecting the interests of its nationals looking for work overseas, but it also establishes Islamabad as a hub for global cooperation on labor and migration-related matters.
The government is making more attempts to streamline migration services nationwide with the launch of the Islamabad Protectorate Office, which comes soon after the creation of two protectorate offices in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) in Bagh and Rawalakot. These actions are in line with the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development’s continuous goal of assisting Pakistani workers in their overseas journeys while guaranteeing that their rights and welfare are given top priority at all times.
The SAPM emphasized at the ceremony the strategic significance of establishing the Protectorate in Islamabad, a city that is home to a multitude of international institutions, including foreign embassies and labor and migration entities. “The opening of the Islamabad Protectorate Office is a significant achievement for our city and evidence of Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to promoting lawful and safe migration worldwide,” Malik said. “By acting as the model protectorate, this office will demonstrate our dedication to quality and our willingness to work with international partners to uphold global migration standards.”
Offering complete assistance to people looking for work abroad, the Islamabad Protectorate Office is poised to become a model for migration services. By making it easier for Pakistani workers to find legal job opportunities and protecting their rights internationally, it hopes to act as a ray of hope and security for them.
This program is a part of a bigger government effort to increase job prospects for Pakistanis both domestically and overseas, as remittances play a major role in the country’s economy.
These offices, which stand to significantly improve the lives of many, are a testament to the SAPM’s persistent commitment to improving the migration process for Pakistani workers.
