ISLAMABAD: Experts from the microfinance industry, ADB, Women’s World Banking, IFC, Google, and the Securities and Exchange of Pakistan are invited to participate in a “Women in Finance Thought Leaders Workshop,” which is being organized in collaboration with the Asian Development Bank.
A press statement released here on Friday stated that the workshop’s objectives are to create a collaborative environment where thought leaders can debate methods for women’s empowerment through microfinance and address possibilities and problems in financial inclusion.
A number of interactive workshops and panel discussions will be included in the event to show off how non-bank microfinance institutions (NBMFIs) can help women become financially independent. The workshop’s main objectives are to address non-bank microfinance sector problems, increase women’s financial inclusion, and close the gender gap in finance.
