WANA: Deputy Commissioner South Waziristan Nasir Khan has implemented section 144 across the district of (SWL) South Waziristan Lower.
A notification issued by the DC office said that all political parties, their leaders/workers are informed.
In view of the current situation, the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has formulated special SOPs for election activities, which has been declared mandatory.
Under the notification prior permission has been declared mandatory for holding all kinds of political gatherings, processions and rallies etc. without the permission of the District Administration SWL.
The notification issued by DC South Waziristan further stated that any political party, organization or sub-organisations active at the local level if any wish to hold a meeting then a written application for NOC will be submitted to Deputy Commissioner (SWL) South Waziristan Lower.
After which the application will be processed under section 14 of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Civil Administration Act 2020.
In the case of NOC without it, strict legal action will be taken under Section 186, 188 of Pakistan Penal Code 1860.
According to the notification, in view of the recent terrorist incidents across the district, section 144 has been imposed by the Deputy Commissioner South Waziristan Lower Nasir Khan till February 11, 2024.
Under which the display of all types of weapons including licensed weapons is prohibited, so people should avoid any such activities.
Otherwise, the District Police will fulfill their constitutional and legal obligations in any case.
On the other hand, DPO South Waziristan Lower Farman Ullah Khan Wardag has said, to cooperate public, leaders of all political parties with the police in this regard
DPO said, otherwise, action will be taken against those who take the law into their hands.
