Six terrorists were killed while eight got injured in an intense exchange of fire with the security forces in North Waziristan district today [Saturday].
According to ISPR, the exchange of fire took place when security forces conducted an intelligence based operation in Mir Ali area of the district on reported presence of terrorists.
Sepoy Abdul Hakeem of Pak Army embraced Shahadat while gallantly fighting the terrorists during the operation.
Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the killed terrorists who remained actively involved in terrorist activities against security forces and target killing of innocent civilians.
Sanitization of the area is being carried out to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area.
Locals of the area appreciated the operation and expressed their full support to eliminate the menace of terrorism.
In an intelligence-based operation (IBO), the security forces on Saturday killed six terrorists while a soldier of Pakistan Army embraced martyrdom in general area Mir Ali of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s North Waziristan district, the military said in a statement.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), in the ensuing exchange of fire, six terrorists were killed by the army troops, whereas eight others were injured during the battle.
Meanwhile, Sepoy Abdul Hakeem, a 33-year-old resident of Naseerabad district, embraced martyrdom after fighting gallantly with the militants.
The security forces also recovered weapons and ammunition from terrorists’ hideouts, who according to ISPR had remained actively involved in terrorist activities against the security forces and target killing of innocent civilians.
Moreover, the locals of the area expressed their full support for the armed forces in their efforts of eliminating the menace of terrorism
Last week, security forces killed a terrorist in Razmak area of North Waziristan district during an exchange of fire with the militants.
According to ISPR, the incident took place on Saturday during which terrorist Azeem Ullah aka Ghazi was killed due to effective engagement by Pakistani troops.
