South Waziristan: A three-day fun fair was organized by security forces at the scenic spot of Gomal Zam Dam, located 20 kilometers away from the Spin area of Wana tehsil, South Waziristan Lower District, to mark the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitar.
The event featured boat races, food stalls, and various swings for children. According to security forces, the purpose of the fair was to provide people with healthy recreational opportunities and promote local culture.
According to the report around three thousand people, mostly children, participated in the fair. Traditional dance performances, including Attan, were also showcased, with enthusiastic participation from the attendees.
A tourist named Sher Ullah Wazir expressed satisfaction with the fair and praised the arrangements made by security forces. Boat rides were a highlight of the fair, and attendees greatly appreciated the security measures implemented by the authorities. The event highlighted the community’s cooperation in efforts to establish peace and security in the region.
On the other hand, enthusiasts and youth demanded that guest houses be constructed in other areas of Waziristan, such as Kharmrang, Mantoi, Masardina, Nezai Narai, Margha China, Valley Shakai, and Angoor Adda, to facilitate tourists and ensure convenience in accommodation and dining.
