MACH: Late on Monday, security personnel thwarted a terrorist “fire raid” attempt by members of the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) in the Mach region of Balochistan, according to reports.
Terrorists launched multiple rockets from mountains on Monday night, followed by a barrage of gunfire, leaving Mach city deafening and pitch-black.
Explosions and gunfire also occurred in Kolpur and Gokhart Bibi Nani neighborhoods, trapping people inside their homes.
Security sources claim that at nine thirty in the evening, fifteen rockets were shot from the mountains in the Mach area of Kuchi Bolan by unidentified assailants.
Eight missiles landed in the city and nearby areas, four rained into the FC headquarters, one landed in the Levies police station, and two dropped upon Mach Jail Colony.
The city went dark and the market shuttered shortly after the rockets burst with loud bangs and intense shooting.
Several homes’ windowpanes were damaged by the thunderous blasts. Sources claim that the government in Kolpur and Dharar barred all types of vehicles. Explosions and gunfire could be heard late into the night in Kolpur and Gokhart Bibi Nani.
According to the sources, security personnel set up an ambush for the terrorists after receiving information about the terrorist strike.
They said that the terrorists withdrew after being overpowered by the security forces’ strong reaction.
According to insiders, security personnel have begun a search operation against the terrorists who are escaping.
Security troops in the Mach area on Monday night “successfully thwarted three coordinated attacks” by terrorists, according to Jan Achakzai, the acting minister of communications for Balochistan.
He claimed that the terrorists were associated with the Aslam Acho organization in a post on the social media platform X. Thankfully, no installations suffered damage, and none of our security personnel lost their lives.
Achakzai went on to say that the terrorists withdrew and were being pursued by law enforcement. “With God’s grace, we continue to hope that all threats will be removed before dawn.”
