Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) leader Sher Afzal Marwat blamed former federal minister Fawad Chaudhary and said he had no right to criticize the party’s current leadership.
“I witnessed Fawad Chaudhary running like an elephant after seeing the police outside the Islamabad High Court,” the PTI lawmaker told the media.
He said that his defection had humiliated the PTI and that he should not advise anyone.
When asked about Fawad’s comments calling the current PTI leadership a “failure”, Marwat said that no matter how our leadership failed, at least “we stuck with Imran Khan in tough times and did not run away like him”.
It is argued that “decent” politicians like Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Pervaiz Elahi and Asad Qaiser should lead the party. The PTI leaders should now stop their “stupid talk”.
Responding to Fawad’s strong criticism, the PTI core committee “unanimously” approved the decision not to welcome the defectors who broke with the Imran-based party during the trial.
PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan said that they will ask the detained party founder to accept the recommendations of the core committee.
