ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan Affairs and SAFRON Engineer Amir Muqam said here on Monday that the world’s so-called largest democratic country India has been continuously violating human rights since the 5th continuous military siege of last five years and other atrocities in IIOJK.
Pakistan will not allow India to succeed in its nefarious plans to turn the Muslim majority into a minority in the IIOJK, he added.
Addressing the rally participants, he said that the cancellation of 370 and 35A was the major mistake of India, which could not succeed in their shameful designs.
The minister said that like in other parts of the world, Kashmiris were observed by Youme–e-Istehsal in Pakistan and Azad Jammu Kashmir. Without a solution to the Kashmir issue, a peaceful environment is not possible in the region.
He said that the incumbent regime has been effectively highlighting the Kashmir issue at all appropriate global forums.

A protest rally against the continuous military siege and human rights violations by the Indian occupation forces in the Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) was held here on Monday on Youm-e-Istehsaal, observed annually 5 women, children, men and youth were arrested and killed.
Adviser to Prime Minister on Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan Qamar Zaman Kaira led the rally which was attended by a large number of people especially officials and students of various educational institutions.

He called the freedom of Kashmir inevitable for the freedom of Pakistan to be complete.
The participants chanted anti-India slogans and carried banners and placards reading “Go India, Go Back”, “Stop Killing in Kashmir and Stop HR Violation in Occupied Kashmir”.
A minute’s silence was also observed in memory of martyrs in Kashmir.
The Minister further said that ‘Youm-e-Istehsal’ was a somber occasion to commemorate the illegal and unilateral acts of India on August 5, 2019 in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). On that day, India revoked the special status of the IIOJK and split it into two so-called ‘Union Territories’ to change its internationally recognized disputed status and undermine the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination.
India’s actions set in motion a process of demographic change and political engineering. As a result, the Kashmiri people were confronted with the danger of becoming a powerless minority in their own country, he added.
Apart from Hurriyat leaders Abdul Hameed Lone, Mohammad Farooq Rahmani and government representatives, the rally was well attended by people from various walks of life.
Former Prime Minister of Azad Jammu Kashmir Sardar Tanveer Ilyas said that the Indian initiative of 5 August 2019 was rejected by all Kashmiris and Pakistanis and the motto of Kashmir is We are Pakistanis, Pakistan is ours.
Sweet Home Chairman Zamrad Khan said that Kashmiris and Pakistanis are one and the same.
Today, Pakistan and Azad Kashmir express solidarity with the brothers from occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat conference convener Ghulam Mohammad Safi said.
Safi said that a strong message is being sent to India that Kashmiris are not alone in their struggle but the Pakistani nation is behind them.
