LAHORE: A “socio-economic registry” project has been launched across the province on the instructions of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.
The Punjab CM chaired the meeting and reviewed the project and handed over the project monitoring task to the Deputy Commissioners.
The economic status of residents will be registered within the project. Livestock in villages will also be included in the socio-economic register.
Around five thousand registration centers were established throughout the province. Only registered citizens will be eligible for social protection projects.
Registered individuals will be eligible for e-bikes, Roshan Solar Program, Himmat Card, Kisan Card and other social protection schemes.
Registered citizens will also be able to apply for a health card, livestock card and scholarship programs.
Citizens can register through the web portal www.pser.punjab.gov.pk and call the helpline 0800-02345.
The Punjab CM said that only deserving citizens would be eligible for the project in the light of authentic data.
She claimed that this project would solve the public crisis and they made the registration system quite easy for the eligible candidates.
Maryam Nawaz directed the commissioners and deputy commissioners to facilitate registration for the citizens.
