Islamabad : The College ground was the venue of the event, which displayed a sight to behold after days of preparation and rehearsal. The colourful dupattas and other embellishments made a beautiful demonstration for the upcoming event..
The Chief guest of the occasion was Director General FDE, Mr. Tanwir Ahmed. After the Tilawat & Naat, the introduction of distinguished guests was presented by the commentators Ms Shumaila & Ms Fouzia. The guests-of- honour were Professor Zahoor Ahmed, Principal IMCB, Sihala & AEO Sihala sector, Mr Shafiq ur Rehman.
Later on, the Principal, Dr. Humera Jabeen highlighted the importance of healthy co- curricular activities to shape up the lives of young generation in general & the nation in particular. Her valuable pieces of advice were met with loud cheers by the enthusiastic crowd of the students..
The students presented Parade and subsequently drills with colourful creations of flowers a variety of different objects,which amazed everybody with its phenomenonal discipline and synchronisation. Afterwards, various athletic activities were conducted among the studentsincluding “Sac Race”,”Crossing the Hurdles”after peeling oranges and popping the balloons and “Tug of War”.The honourable judges of these games were Ms Faiza Siddique & Ms Shamim Akhtar.
Fun games with teachers included Musical Chairs & Hit the bottles. The worthy guests also participated in hitting the bottles, among the shouts and cheers of the crowd.
Ensuing the successful conduct of games, the distinguished chief guests addressed the students in it offered valuable insights into the area of sports. He aporeciated the student’s willingness to face challenges inspite of limited resources. Later the prizes & certificates were distributed among the winners.
