Unit 4 of the SK Hydropower Plant has successfully passed several tests since commissioning, operating normally and meeting design requirements. Finally, Section 4 will conduct dozens of tests, including temperature stability tests and extreme tests, to ensure that all device specifications meet design performance standards, which will provide a solid basis for entering the test phase. .
Before starting the wet test, SK Hydro Co., Ltd. together with all the construction departments involved, carefully prepare to fill and empty the test protocol, monitor its progress in real-time and effectively solve problems. the effect of filling and draining water thus providing an important guarantee for the success of the wet test.

The start of wet testing for the first phase marks the completion of the final sprint phase of the project’s construction, which is a step closer to operational and power generation goals.
The SK hydroelectric power plant is located on the Kunha River in the Mansehra region of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province in northwestern Pakistan. It is a flagship project in the first phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) priority project and is equipped with four pulse units with a total capacity of 884 MW.
Once completed, the project could provide 3.212 billion kilowatt-hours of clean electricity annually, covering one-fifth of Pakistan’s electricity gap.
