TEXAS: Authorities stated Monday that the suspect in the shootings that murdered seven individuals in two different Joliet, Illinois homes has been discovered dead.
Earlier, police said they were hunting for a suspect identified as Romeo Nance, 23, after discovering the deaths of five victims in one home and two more in an adjacent residence on West Acres Road.
Nance was apparently “driving a Red Toyota Camry with the license plate Q730412 and should be considered armed and dangerous,” police said.
Late Monday night, authorities claimed Nance was found by US Marshals in Natalia, Texas, and it was thought he “took his own life with a handgun following a confrontation with Texas law enforcement officials.”
According to local authorities, officials responded to the residences on West Acres Road, where multiple victims with gunshot wounds were discovered dead.
“The information remains fluid and ever-changing as this investigation progresses,” officials wrote on Facebook late Monday afternoon.
The Will County Sheriff’s Office stated that it was attempting to find the same vehicle in connection with two further shootings on Sunday.
