On this occasion, FPCCI Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Coordinator Akbar Khan and ARC Minerals’s Director Nisar Rasheed while giving a detailed briefing to the US Consul General Shante Moore and said that Pakistan is a country naturally rich in minerals and the world is rich in gemstones. It is famous for business.
They said that the emerald gemstone of Swat is famous all over the world and we wish to once again introduce this gemstone at the global level. So that the good image of Pakistan including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is brought before the whole world.
They said that Pakistan is safe for all kinds of investment and business and such exhibitions also increase the foreign exchange of Pakistan.
By which the economy will grow and new business and employment opportunities will be created.This will also reduce unemployment.
Nisar Rashid, director of ARK Minerals Company, further explained about the emeralds of Swat and said that the emeralds of Swat were first introduced to the world market during an exhibition in the 1980s.
He said that most of the emeralds from Swat It are supplied to Thailand and from there it reaches India.
Precious stones are cut in the market of Peshawar, but they are not according to international standards.
Even in modern times, we are lagging behind other countries in technology.
However, cutting and polishing of precious stones requires advanced technology and international investment time is needed to meet these challenges.

This will increase the export and increase employment opportunities and the country’s economy will be stable.
Economic empowerment of women in the field of handicrafts was also discussed in this meeting.
