BRUSSELS: Microsoft President Brad Smith on Monday announced a plan to spur innovation and competition in intelligence in recognition of its leading role in the technology industry; It's a move that could ease concerns about his management. The US technology emerged as a result of rivals' and conservatives' concerns about Microsoft's market power, and was recently boosted by its collaboration with ChatGPT developer OpenAI.Over the years, Microsoft has incorporated chatbots into its core products, such as its Office software and Bing search engine, to attract enterprise customers looking to try the next breakthrough printing technology in business."As we enter a new era of AI, we believe now is the perfect time to share the principles that will guide how we operate our AI data center infrastructure and other infrastructure." The AI Access Principles aim to "in part address Microsoft's growing role and responsibility as an AI innovator and market leader," Smith told the World Action Conference in Barcelona. Technology is needed to help organizations and individuals around the world develop and use intelligence to serve the public good, Smith said.
