Islamabad: The body of missing young Taha was found from Margalla Hills Trail 5, Islamabad on Saturday.
According to police sources, the body was reported to the police by the forest and wildlife department officials. A boy was found dead in a ditch.
Police and rescue teams reached the spot to identify the body and the boy’s mother.
Student Taha went missing from Margalla Hills Trail 5 while out for a walk with a friend.
Accused of kidnapping, the report of the missing child’s mother and secretariat was registered at the police station and the police started an investigation. A police patrol started a search operation with the help of a drone camera.
Earlier, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi ordered the police to patrol the Margalla Hills roads for the safety and security of the climbers. Several untoward incidents have been reported in the area in the past.
A patrol team of 60 personnel has been assigned security duties in and around the road. Six motorcycles and eight horses are at the team’s disposal.
