As the election time of the general elections is approaching, there has been an increase in the incidents of terrorism. Meanwhile there are predictions of more severe weather and as a result there are talks of postponing the general elections.
During the last few weeks there has been an increase in terrorism in the southern and northern districts. Yesterday Dera Ismail Khan was also attacked by terrorists and 23 soldiers were martyred and 27 terrorists were killed.
An intelligence-based operation was conducted in Dara zandah area of DI Khan during which 17 terrorists were killed. According to ISPR 6 terrorists attacked the post of security forces in Darban during which the security forces entered the checkpoint.
The attempt failed however after that the terrorists rammed a vehicle full of explosives into the checkpoint, resulting in the collapse of the building and several deaths. According to ISPR all 6 terrorists were killed in the area while meanwhile 23 brave soldiers embraced martyrdom.
According to ISPR during the operation in Dara zandah area the hideout of terrorists was destroyed. Search was conducted while two brave soldiers were martyred after intense exchange of fire. According to ISPR, the dead terrorists were involved in many acts of terrorism against the security forces and the dead terrorists were also active in the killing of innocent civilians.
Arms ammunition and explosives were also recovered. ISPR says that clearance operations are being conducted to eliminate the terrorists in the area. Pakistan’s security forces are determined to eradicate terrorism from the country. Such sacrifices of our brave soldiers strengthen our resolve.
The constant sacrifices of the Pakistan Army cannot be denied even at the international level. Its brave men have always faced the enemy as a wall of lead, which is highly appreciated by the nation. The entire nation pays tribute to its descendants for sacrificing their lives for the country. But now is the time to think about the motivations due to which these terrorists are being facilitated at the local level.
The main reason for this is the deprivation found in these backward areas which has been going on for years according to psychologists and political scientists. In fact no serious efforts have been made by the political and non-political governments to remove these deprivations.
That’s why they are increasing every year which results in acts of lawlessness and terrorism. Therefore, until these deprivations are removed, the dream of long-lasting peace in the country cannot be realized.
On the other hand political anarchy is also on the rise in the country due to which the national narrative can come forward to solve the problems of the country. Although measures like National Security Plan have been taken to control terrorism in the country. But now perhaps a new security plan is needed because the objective situation has changed a lot after the withdrawal of the United States from Afghanistan and the foundation of the Taliban government. But it is a sad fact that at this time the country has become quite divided at the political and public level.
Although constitutionally the period for conducting general elections in the country has been completed but still some political forces believe that the elections should be postponed further so that their interests can be fulfilled.
But these forces should think that the more the elections are delayed, the more the various problems of the country will increase including terrorism and insecurity. Therefore, it is the responsibility of all the stakeholders to bring the country on the democratic track as soon as possible and bring back the people of deprived areas to life so that the country can be on the track of development.
