SWAT: 3rd meeting of the Senate of the University of Agriculture Swat was held on 10th July 2024 at Governor House Peshawar, Chaired by Honorable Minister Agriculture, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Major.(R) .Muhammad Sajjad.
The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Dawood Jan (Vice Chancellor of the University of Agriculture Swat), Mr. Justice (Rtd) Miftahuddin khan (Nominee of the Honorable Chief Justice Peshawar High Court), Prof Dr. Rashid Ahmad (Vice chancellor The University of Malakand), Prof. Dr. Hassan Sher (Vice chancellor The University of Swat), Dr. Mazhar Saeed (Nominee of the Higher Education Commission Islamabad), Mr. Zubair Arshad, (Additional Secretary Governor Secretariat Khyber Pakhtunkhwa) Muhammad Tahir (Additional Secretary Agriculture Khyber Pakhtunkhwa), Mr. Javed Iqbal (Additional Secretary HED Khyber Pakhtunkhwa), Mr. Arshad Ali (Additional Secretary Finance Khyber Pakhtunkhwa), Mr. Noorul Haq (Deputy Secretary Establishment Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa), Mr. Muhammad Khaliq & Mr. Bacha Sayed (Nominees of the Chancellor). Mr. Akbar khan Advisor Establishment &Finance UOAS, Dr. Ibrar ul Haq Deputy Registrar UOAS, Mr. Muhammad Ali (Auditor UOAS) and Mian Iqbal Shah.
The Senate approved a surplus budget for the financial year 2024-25 with a total volume of Rs.2331.038 million including Five Endowment Funds of Rs.1759.760 million.
The Senate also approved constitution of various authorities and committees proposed by the University subject to vetting by a subcommittee of the Senate.
The Senate also reviewed the progress made by the University in a short span of around two and half years and highly appreciated the leadership role of the University management leading by Prof. Dr. Dawood Jan.
