LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has approved the tourist glass train project between Rawalpindi and Murree to boost tourism in the region.
It was approved in a meeting chaired by the Chief Minister in Murree to beautify the famous hill.
The government will hire the services of an international consultant to implement the Glass Rail project.
The Prime Minister approved various other projects for the development and beautification of Murree.
It has also decided to remove the hotel buildings that obstruct the natural beauty of the commercial city of Rawalpindi.
The construction and widening of the old Rawalpindi-Murree-Kashmir road was approved.
In addition, the government decided to remove the hotel around the GPO site and restore all the old buildings.
