SWAT: At least Four people, including two women, were burnt to death and four others were seriously injured when a Cheng Chi rickshaw caught fire in Kalakot area of Matta Tehsil of Swat district.
According to SHO police station Kalakot Sharifullah, the tragic incident took place at that time.
When the Cheng Chi rickshaw full of passengers was going to Kalakot from Uchhar, the driver Fayaz from Kalakot overturned due to brake failure. As soon as the rickshaw overturned, it caught fire.
As a result two women who came from Kalpanai area of Buner district in a rickshaw to recite Fatiha, Mst Bakht Zadgai wife of Zarawar Khan and Socha Bibi, wife of Farid Gul, and two students who were going to school in the evening shift, twenty-year-old Sajidullah and fifteen-year-old Shakirullah residents of Uchar have died due to severe burns while the other four people in the rickshaw, Mst Bakhtai, a child Nisar residents of Bunier district, driver Fayaz and Akbar Ali resident of Uchar have been seriously injured.
The bodies of the deceased were shifted to the local hospital in Darmai, while the injured were shifted to Matta Hospital for immediate medical assistance and later to Saidu Sharif Hospital in case of critical condition.
